Rescue Systems I

This course is the basis for conducting safe and systematic rescues in urban search and rescue environments. Rescue Systems has three levels of instruction and each level builds upon the previous course. Providing you with a systems approach to urban search and rescue utilizing common equipment carried on an engine, aerial truck and/or support unit to affect rescue in urban search and rescue environments.

This program is ideal for agencies who can’t provide for or support a Type I, II or III US&R Team but still need their personnel trained for rescue operations for normal responses and/or disaster rescue efforts.

Students must bring gloves suitable for working with rope, hand tools, etc., rescue helmet, protective eyewear and wear appropriate protective footwear. Long pants and long sleeved shirt are required. Personal gear will be inspected by the Instructor prior to use.
