The Advanced Medical Life support (AMLS) course is sponsored by the National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) and is the first course to address the most common medical complaints. It offers a practical approach to assessing and managing adult medical patients. This course emphasizes a critical thinking process using input from the scene size-up, history and physical exam to develop a differential diagnosis of the medical problem.
