This 16 hour classroom lecture, video and hands-on practice course is designed to review, organize, and prioritize the essential skills of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). It helps one act promptly when faced with a medical emergency such as cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, or stroke. Upon successful completion of this course, you will achieve a better understanding of a person in cardiac arrest and help them begin to learn the roles and interventions used by resuscitation teams. Prerequisite: The applicant must be 18 years of age, HS graduate or completed GED, and provide current recognition as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
Recognition: Successful completion of this course provides American Heart Association ACLS Provider recognition, a certificate of completion and 16 hours of continuing education credit as recognized by the States of Missouri and Illinois.
